VUB's central department Topsport en Studie participated in the ‘Platform Elite Sport and Higher Education’ organised annually by Sport Vlaanderen, which aims at optimizing the dual career services of Flemish universities and university colleges. In total, dual career coordinators of 14 Flemish higher educational institutes attended the meeting.
At the end of the session, Koen De Brandt presented our recently developed online environment www.dualcareertools.com, which aims at optimizing athletes’ and dual career support providers’ competencies. DualCareerTools.com will be live by the end of May. More info can be found here.
Furthermore, Koen presented an overview of the Erasmus+ Sport project ‘Ecology of Dual Career’ (ECO-DC), in which Kristel Taelman from Sport Vlaanderen is involved as an expert. More info about ECO-DC can be found here.
