Elite sport and higher education in the Brussels-Capital Region (phase 9): Online workshops for student-athletes
For the 2020 call of Dynamic Brussels "A Young and Dynamic Region", the dpt. Topsport en Studie submitted as a coordinator a new project phase entitled "Elite sport and higher education in the Brussels-Capital Region (phase 9): Online workshops for student-athletes". The Brussels-Capital Region published the results today (October 21). We are extremely excited to announce that our project will be funded by Dynamic Brussels (€75K). The project will be led by the dpt. Topsport & Studie of VUB (prof. dr. Paul Wylleman, dr. Koen De Brandt, dr. Simon Defruyt) in collaboration with ULB.
The project will start in January 2021 and aims at developing online workshops to optimize the competencies of student-athletes in the Brussels-Capital Region, centered around the following topics:
- Evaluation of dual career 'elite sport and higher education' competencies
- Dual Career Management
- Career Planning
- Emotional awareness
- Social intelligence & Adaptability
