Jolan Kegelaers graduated as Master in Psychology (option Clinical & Biological Psychology) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). In 2014 he started working as a doctoral researcher for the research group Sport Psychology and Mental Support of the VUB. As a researcher he collaborated with (inter)national sports organisations such as Sport Vlaanderen, WADA, NADO Vlaanderen, and NOC*NSF. His main research is focused on the development of psychological resilience within talented and elite athletes. Since September 2018 he is also active as a post-doc researcher at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, conducting research on the implementation of innovative training methods within sports, music, and dance.
